1. Guaranteed profit language
“10x this week,” “risk-free,” “insider signal.” Markets move both ways. Guarantees are a marketing tactic, not a feature of crypto.
2. Fake support and fake apps
- Unsolicited DMs that say your wallet is “compromised.”
- Links to download an app outside official stores.
- Sites that mimic a brand but ask you to “verify” by pasting a recovery phrase.
3. Airdrop pressure
Legitimate projects rarely demand you connect a wallet in the next five minutes to claim something valuable. Pressure + wallet connect + unknown site is a classic trap.
4. What a normal guide site does not ask
- No seed phrases or private keys
- No deposits to “activate” learning content
- No copy-trading signup buried under an article
