Goal: a short list you can check in under a minute — not a feed that nags you to buy.
1. Choose 3–5 names only
Start with assets you already recognize from the news. A long list feels “complete,” but it trains you to skim without understanding. You can always add later.
2. Prefer read-only views
Look for watchlists, widgets, or portfolio viewers that do not require funding. If an app’s home screen is an order ticket, you are no longer in “learning mode.”
CoinBrief does not rank or promote specific trading apps.
3. Set boring alerts
- Alert on unusually large moves, not every 0.3% tick.
- Turn off marketing push and “hot coins” spam.
- Check once or twice a day unless you have a real reason.
4. Separate observation from custody
Watching a price and securing coins are different jobs. Never type a seed phrase into a website that claims to “sync your portfolio.” This site never asks for wallets, KYC, or deposits.
A 30-second morning routine
- Glance at the widget: up / down / quiet.
- Open one headline max — label it policy / product / price.
- Close the phone. Curiosity satisfied; no chase.
Tracking is for understanding. It is not a signal to trade.
